What to Expect

We want you to feel welcome and comfortable during your first visit to Springs of Life, so we've attempted to answer a few common questions. Here's what you can expect in our regular worship services.

When should I arrive?

Sunday School for all ages begins at 10 AM, but we invite you to arrive a few minutes early to meet some of our members and find a seat!

Where should I go?

Our Sunday Worship Service is held in our main facility at 1111 Center St. The front entrance is on 12th St. At each of our services, volunteers will be standing by to help guide you. Wheelchair access is also available through the door on 12th St.

Where should I park?

Our small parking lot is reserved for families with small children, our elder members and first-time guests. Across the street is parking at the Maxwell Community Center and there are some parking spots along 12th St. along the side of our fellowship hall.

What should I wear?

Our Sunday Gathering is casual and familial. We're a church for people from all walks of life. Please wear whatever is most comfortable for you

What are my childcare options?

All children are welcome to join us in the sanctuary, but we are also passionate about communicating the truth of the gospel in age-appropriate ways. Thus, we provide Sunday School for children ages 2 through 5th grade. We also offer classes for all ages up to High School on most Sunday mornings. If you have a child with special needs, please email our Sunday School Coordinator and let us know how we can serve you!

What happens on Sundays?

Every Sunday, we sing songs together, we pray both privately and corporately, we hear the Bible preached.

THE WAY WE WORSHIP

If you have never had the opportunity to be in a Spirit-filled service before, you will discover that Biblical expressions of worship are still practiced today. Join in with us as we praise God together, in spirit and in truth.

WE PRAY together aloud because in the Bible we read, “They lifted up their voice to God with one accord.”

— Acts 4:24

WE LIFT OUR HANDS in praise because in the Bible we read, “Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.”

— Psalm 134:2

WE SING with all our hearts because in the Bible we read, “Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.”

— Psalm 98:4

WE PLAY MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS because in the Bible we read, “And all the house of Israel played before the LORD on all manner of instruments.”

— 2 Samuel 6:5

WE CLAP AND SHOUT unto God because in the Bible we read, “O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.”

— Psalm 47:1

WE DANCE before the Lord because in the Bible we read, “Praise Him with the timbrel and dance: praise Him with stringed instruments and organs.”

— Psalm 150:4

WE TESTIFY publicly because in the Bible we read, “I will declare thy name unto my brethren; in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.”

— Psalm 22:22

WE ANOINT WITH OIL for divine healing because in the Bible we read, “Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.”

— James 5:14

WE ALLOW THE OPERATION OF SPIRITUAL GIFTS because in the Bible we read, “When ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation.”

— 1 Corinthians 14:26
